Frequently asked questions

The questions I get most, about the videos, the course, the emails and this site. If yours isn’t here, ask it in the comments on YouTube.

The videos

Why are your videos so short?

Because each one answers exactly one question. You came to fix one thing; the video shows that thing, every tap of it, and stops.

Which iPhone and which iOS do they cover?

The current iOS and the one before it, on any iPhone that runs them. Apple moves things between versions, so if a screen looks different from the video, check the video’s date and look for a newer one.

Do you cover Android?

Yes, there are Samsung Galaxy and Android videos on the channel too. The iPhone 101 course is iPhone only.

What is the tap trail?

The row of chips at the bottom of the screen in every video. It shows the exact buttons tapped so far, in order, so you can follow along or go back a step on your own phone.

Can I ask you a question about my phone?

Leave it in the comments on the video closest to your question. I read them, and the most asked questions become the next videos.

iPhone 101, the course

What is it?

A complete, self-paced video course on the iPhone, in order: your first day with a new phone, calls and texts, photos, privacy and scams, the everyday apps, and what to do when something goes wrong. Every lesson is 3 to 8 minutes, every tap shown on screen.

I’m not a tech person. Is it for me?

That’s exactly who it’s for. Every lesson starts from the Home Screen and assumes nothing.

My iPhone is a few years old.

Everything works on any iPhone that runs iOS 26 or 27, which is the iPhone 11 and newer.

When does it open, and what does it cost?

Early 2027, under $100, one payment, lifetime access, updated for every new iOS. People on the waitlist hear first and pay the lowest price it will ever be.

What if it isn’t for me?

Watch it, try it, and if it doesn’t make your iPhone easier, email me within 30 days for a full refund. Keep the guide.

What do I get for joining the waitlist?

Today: the free guide 20 iPhone Settings To Fix Today, with the exact taps for each one. Then my weekly iPhone tips email, and first look at the course when it opens.

The emails

How often will you email me?

About once a week, one useful thing each time. Course news when there is some. No filler.

How do I stop them?

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and they stop.

What happens when I enter my email on this site?

You get one email asking you to confirm. Click the button in it and the guide opens. Check Promotions or Spam if it isn’t there in a minute. Your address goes to Kit, the email service I use, and nowhere else; the privacy page has the details.
