Terms of service

Last updated: 10/21/2026.

These are the terms for using trevornace.com, the content on it, the iPhone 101 course and the private tools described below. Using the site means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to trap anyone; if something is unclear, email trevor@trevornace.com.

The site and its content

  • Everything on this site (words, graphics, the guide, the course) is mine unless it says otherwise, and is for your personal use. You may share links to it; you may not copy, re-upload or sell it.
  • The videos are embedded from YouTube and are covered by YouTube’s own terms as well.
  • The tutorials describe what worked on my phone on the date shown. Apple changes things. Follow them at your own judgement, and back up your phone before anything that erases data.
  • I may change or take down any part of the site at any time.

The waitlist and emails

Joining the waitlist adds your email address to my list at Kit. You can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email. How the address is handled is in the privacy page.

iPhone 101 (when it is on sale)

  • Buying the course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to watch it for as long as the course exists. It is one seat; please don’t share your login.
  • Payments are taken by Stripe; I never see your card number.
  • Refunds: email me within 30 days of buying and I’ll refund the full price, no questions asked. After 30 days there are no refunds.
  • Prices may change; the price you paid is the price you paid.
  • I may update, add or replace lessons as iOS changes. I may also close the course to new buyers; existing buyers keep access.

No guarantees, limited liability

The content is general guidance about using an iPhone. It is not advice for your specific situation, and I can’t promise a particular result. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from using the site or the course, including lost data; my total liability to you is limited to what you paid me in the previous 12 months.

YouTube API Services and the private tools behind this site

I run small, private tools that use YouTube API Services (to upload and schedule my own videos and to read statistics about my own channel and public statistics about other channels) and the Meta APIs (to post to my own Facebook Page and Instagram account). These tools work only on accounts I own; they are not offered to anyone else. By using them I agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and their handling of data is described in the privacy page, including the Google Privacy Policy. If any part of this site ever lets you connect your own Google account, the same terms will apply to you, and you will be able to revoke access at any time from Google’s security settings.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. If one part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date at the top changes when it changes.
